Roofing marketing

A shingle roof lasts for decades. Most buyers will be new to you.

  • Be the local name they find when the hail stops
  • Keep repair calls and replacements on separate budgets
  • Stay in touch through spring and fall inspections

Roofing marketing runs on trust and timing. First, a site that proves you are local, licensed and insured, with real jobs and separate repair and replacement pages. Then Google and Local Services Ads for leak and storm searches. Every inquiry gets a follow-up. Spring and fall inspection reminders keep past customers in touch between roofs.

Build the proof in winter

Winter is the slow season in most regions, and hail claims rise each spring (JobNimbus, 2026; Farmers Insurance, 2026). So winter is when license, insurance and address go on every page, real local job photos go up, and Local Services Ads screening gets done. After a storm, the FTC (2025) tells homeowners to hire only licensed, insured contractors and ask for proof of insurance.

A leak and a new roof are two different buyers

Price guides put a leak repair at $800 on average and a replacement near $10,000 (Fixr, 2026). Roofing search clicks average $10.70 (LocaliQ, 2025), so $800 covers about 75 clicks and $10,000 about 935. Those counts show scale only, and they are why repairs and replacements get separate ads, pages and budgets.

Your roofing company gets the same system we run for our home-service clients: the website, the ads and the follow-up. The work below is theirs, and each piece names the client’s trade.

A few things you might be wondering

Why do roofing leads cost more than other trades?

Roofing and gutters had the highest search cost per lead in LocaliQ's home services data, $228.15, with a 3.70% conversion rate (2025). On a job priced near $10,000, the pages, reviews and a quick reply have to earn the inspection.

Can a roofer get Google Verified through Local Services Ads?

It can. Google lists Roofing as a category for shingles, gutters and venting. Screening can check the business and the owner, proof of general liability cover, and a state license if your state requires one. Once you pass, the profile carries the Google Verified badge and you pay per lead.

How should a roofer talk about insurance claims?

Show what your crew documents; the insurer decides coverage. Never promise coverage or absorb a deductible. Texas outlaws deductible waivers and roofers acting as public adjusters on their jobs (Texas Department of Insurance, 2025). Policies usually cover sudden hail or wind damage, not wear (Policygenius, 2024).

What keeps a roofing customer in touch between roofs?

Inspections. The National Roofing Contractors Association recommends checking a roof at least twice a year, in spring and fall, and after severe weather. Each reminder keeps your name on file for repairs, gutters and the next roof.

Where do the results on this page come from?

From our turf cleaning, contracting and lawn care clients, each labeled. A roofer gets the same site, ads and follow-up, aimed at leaks, storms and replacements.

The roofing year, and where the money is

Researched, not guessed. Every line names where it came from.

Peak
Spring through fall. One JobNimbus piece puts the peak in summer, with high demand and longer waits (jobnimbus.com, Apr 2026); another says spring and fall see the highest demand in most regions (jobnimbus.com, Jun 2026). By region: northern states peak June to September, the Midwest May to October, and southern states run year-round with little slow season (jobnimbus.com, Apr 2026). Hail claims rise every spring (Farmers Insurance, May 2026).jobnimbus.com
Shoulder
Spring and fall have the best weather for the work (jobnimbus.com, Apr 2026). NRCA recommends roof inspections every spring and fall (professionalroofing.net, Nov 2020).
Quiet
Winter, typically December through February, and November through March in northern states (jobnimbus.com, Apr 2026). JobNimbus recommends planning marketing 60 to 90 days before demand spikes (jobnimbus.com, Jun 2026).
What triggers a call
a leak after heavy rain ('roof leaking after heavy rain' appears in Google autocomplete, 2026); hail and wind storms (hail made up 31% of Farmers homeowners claims from Jan 2024 to Mar 2026, newsroom.farmers.com); an asphalt roof nearing 30 to 35 years (thisoldhouse.com, 2026); a roof in moderate to poor condition, true of about 38% of US homes (Verisk, via iireporter.com, 2026); selling the house ('do i need a new roof to sell my house' appears in Google autocomplete, 2026); adding solar panels ('do i need a new roof before installing solar panels' appears in Google autocomplete, 2026)
Typical residential job
$350 to $1,500 for a leak repair, average $800 (fixr.com, 2026); about $10,000 for a replacement, most $7,500 to $14,000 (fixr.com, 2026), or $10,319 for an asphalt roof of 2,000 square feet (thisoldhouse.com, 2026). In insurance claims, the average 2025 residential replacement was $17,631 and the average repair $4,699 (Verisk 2026 U.S. Roof Report, via iireporter.com, May 2026)fixr.com, 2026
Comes back
Low frequency, long cycle: an asphalt roof lasts 30 to 35 years, metal 40 to 70 and clay tile 50 to 100 (thisoldhouse.com, 2026), so most replacement customers buy once. The repeat contact is inspections and repairs: NRCA recommends roof inspections at least twice a year, preferably in spring and fall, plus after severe weather (professionalroofing.net, Nov 2020), and an annual inspection averages about $430 (fixr.com, 2026). Google's Roofing category also covers gutters and venting (support.google.com).professionalroofing.net

Google first for roofing. Here is why.

First channel
Roof work is bought when something forces it: a leak, hail or an inspection, and the searches are local and specific ('roof leak repair near me', 'roof replacement near me', 'roofer near me reviews', Google autocomplete, 2026). Search clicks cost $10.70 and search leads $228.15, the highest in home services (localiq.com, 2025), so the pages and the follow-up decide whether that cost pays. Local Services Ads list Roofing and charge only for leads (support.google.com, 2026).localiq.com
Second channel
Meta comes second, timed to storms. One agency's roundup puts storm-response campaigns at $10 to $22 a lead, against $40 to $80 for always-on ads (webtonic.io, 2026).
