Google files plumbing under urgent. Plan your marketing that way.
Someone with no hot water wants a plumber now. The plan answers that call first, then builds the water heater, sewer line and membership work you can book ahead.
- Be the plumber found while the floor is still wet
- Price the jobs the way homeowners ask about them
- Turn a one-time clog into a yearly flush and checkup
A plumbing plan follows how the work arrives. Urgent calls come first, through Google and Local Services Ads, with a follow-up on each call and form. Planned jobs come next: water heaters, sewer lines and repipes, each with a priced page. Last, a membership with a yearly water heater flush gives past customers a reason to call again.
Staff up for the freeze and the holiday
Google treats plumbing as urgent, and its top suggestions after plumber near me are now and open now (Google autocomplete, 2026). Cold snaps bring frozen pipes, and Roto-Rooter says its calls jump 50% above an average Friday on the day after Thanksgiving. So the budget, the profile hours and the after-hours plan are set before November.
Put a price beside the questions people type
Homeowners ask what a plumber charges to unclog a toilet, snake a drain or replace a water heater with labor. Each gets a page with your range, trip fee and after-hours rate. Price guides report evenings, weekends and holidays at 50% to 100% above standard rates (Modernize, 2026), so a stated policy beats a surprise bill.
Your plumbing company gets the same system we run for our home-service clients: the website, the ads and the follow-up. The work below is theirs, and each piece names the client’s trade.

“I highly recommend To The Max Media. He did an excellent job redesigning my website and rebranding my business, and I'm very happy with how everything turned out. He's also managing our advertising, and we're already seeing great traction and positive results.”
“Ty has been absolutely amazing! He's helped me out with everything from GoHighLevel and Facebook to building a custom app for my business. Since working with him, my business has been bringing in a ton of high-quality leads. I've worked with several different people in the past, but Ty is on a completely different level. He knows his stuff, gets things done, and actually delivers results. This dude is awesome! I highly recommend him to anyone looking to grow their business.”
A few things you might be wondering
What does a plumbing click cost on Google?
About $10.49 on average, and plumbing's 4.97% click-through rate is among the lowest in home services (LocaliQ, 2025). Google's suggestions for plumber include tape, putty and salary, so your ads target near me, now and emergency phrasing and block product and job terms.
Are Local Services Ads worth it for a plumber?
They are a sensible first test. SearchLight Digital's 2026 reports put plumbing Local Services Ads at $57 a lead and non-branded search at $167, from separate samples. Google screening can cover the business, the owner and the plumbers you send, and Drain expert and Sewage system are separate categories.
Should our ads say we answer 24/7?
Only if someone does. An emergency ad that reaches voicemail at midnight wastes the click, and Google says unanswered calls can hurt Local Services Ads ranking. If nights are not covered, show your real hours.
What brings a plumbing customer back?
The water heater. Rheem says to flush a tank once a year, or every six months with hard water, and tank heaters last 8 to 12 years (Fixr, 2026). A membership that books the flush and a yearly inspection keeps your name in the house until replacement time.
Do you take on plumbing companies?
Yes. The setup stays the same from trade to trade; the plan inside it changes, built here around urgent calls, priced pages and a membership. Each review and example on this page names the client's own trade.

The plumbing year, and where the money is
Researched, not guessed. Every line names where it came from.
- Peak
- Cold weather: most plumbers see a spike once the weather turns cold, the peak season for frozen pipes, and many count on it to reach annual revenue goals (contractormag.com, Jul 2025). The single busiest day is the day after Thanksgiving, when Roto-Rooter says its calls jump 50% above an average Friday, and the holiday weekend averages 21% more calls than any other Thursday to Sunday (rotorooter.com).contractormag.com
- Shoulder
- After heavy rain: This Old House notes plumber rates may rise in busy times, such as after heavy rain as well as in winter freezes (thisoldhouse.com, 2026).
- Quiet
- No true dead season: demand is solid year-round, and the off-season or shoulder months are the time to prepare for the cold-weather peak (contractormag.com, Jul 2025).
- What triggers a call
- frozen or burst pipes in a cold snap (contractormag.com, 2025); Thanksgiving weekend kitchen sink, disposal, toilet and main sewer clogs (rotorooter.com); a water heater leaking or not heating (top autocomplete questions for 'why is my water heater', 2026); a tank water heater reaching 8 to 12 years, its typical life (fixr.com, 2026); tree roots in sewer pipe joints causing backups (rotorooter.com); heavy rain (thisoldhouse.com, 2026)
- Typical residential job
- $100 to $500 for drain clearing, $100 to $300 for a toilet repair and $150 to $450 for a leaking pipe; $800 to $2,000 for a water heater installation (thisoldhouse.com, 2026); sewer line replacement averages $3,320 (thisoldhouse.com, 2026)thisoldhouse.com, 2026
- Comes back
- Less built in than HVAC. Rheem recommends flushing a tank water heater once a year, or every 6 months with hard water (rheem.com, May 2026), and tank heaters last 8 to 12 years and tankless 15 to 20 (fixr.com, 2026), so every install starts a dated replacement window.rheem.com
Google first for plumbing. Here is why.
- First channel
- Plumbing calls are urgent: Google treats plumbing as an urgent category (support.google.com, 2026), and the top suggestions for 'plumber near me' are 'now' and 'open now', with 'emergency' close behind (Google autocomplete, 2026). A February 2026 report put Local Services Ads at $57 a lead across 230 plumbing accounts, against $167 for non-branded search in a separate 2026 sample (SearchLight Digital, via pipelineon.com and thevalleymarketinggroup.com, 2026).support.google.com
- Second channel
- Meta comes second for planned work such as water heater and repipe jobs and the membership plan. Facebook lead campaigns in Home and Home Improvement average $42.95 a lead (localiq.com, 2026).
